Telescope/Mount/Tripod Cover

Hi!

I am thinking of getting a cover so I don't have to carry everything into the house after imaging and so I won't have to polar align every night.
I am thinking of this particular cover (see link below), which would cover the entire imaging train including camera, guide scope, etc.
Is there any problem in leaving an ASI2600MC camera out all night and day if it's covered?

Thanks!
Jerry

Thanks Scott!  Your link was very helpful!

I now have much better information with which to make a decision.  I live in San Francisco and though the climate, from a temperature perspective, is very mild, the dew, fog and humidity are definitely a big factor here.   I will probably end up doing what I've been doing, which is taking everything down at the end of the night and bringing it indoors.  Or maybe do both, when the fog and humidity aren't around leave everything under a cover and when they are, bring everything indoors...

I live in North Carolina, plenty humid all the time, afternoon thunderstorms, etc.        My rigs stay outside 24/7 under a Telegizmos 365 covers, I've had no issues whatsoever.  The only time they come inside is for hurricanes.  One of mine is on a pier, the other on a tripod.    The tripod only indication of ever being outside is my EQ6 tripod knobs (for polar alignment) are starting to show a few pits of rust.   You could totally alleviate this if you want by throwing some grease on them however.

Just make sure the cover is strapped down solid and you should be fine.    Only thing to be worried about is high winds.

Hi Jerry,

I leave my entire rig out under this  exact brand of cover for long stretches at a time, tucking Cables up off the deck under the cover usually draped  over counter weights or the scope itself.  Allows for quick use for sure.  I do bring everything in for forecasts of severe weather or prolonged bitter sub-freezing weather if cloudy forecast.  If clear I leave it out. sadly - are two large plastic sheets that came with some furniture. But they are great to cover the scope on rainy nights so I can leave it set up and polar aligned awaiting the next clear night or part of a night. It does mean that I can get imaging...
