I have a Skyris 274M camera for imaging the Moon, the Sun and some planets. I am considering an upgrade to one of the ZWO color planetary cameras. Can anyone guide me to the BEST choice? I will use it together with Orion Optics ODK-10, William Optics FLT-110 and Takahashi FSQ-106.

I can only tell you what I have and use.  I have used an ZWO ASI240mc for planetary and Luna imaging quite successfully with my 6 SE go-to mount. I also have a ASI283mc-pro for work with  my  Sigma 150-600mm lens for DSO's. I have played and not to seriously with the 183 on Planets and I am  impressed. I am so impressed that I am making it my one and only all purpose camera.

Thank you watcher! What software would you say is the best for image processing with these cameras?

Hi Ulf,
I had a Skyris several years ago, and enjoyed it immensely. As of now, I have a ZWO ASI120MM-ss (super speed), and a ZWO ASI183MC-Pro (in addition to a dedicated QSI CCD for deep-sky work). While I don't live under optimum skies, I've gotten very good results with the 183, both for lunar, planetary, and solar on my 11", and wide-field deep-sky work with an 80mm refractor. The 183MC-Pro is a coolable color camera. I use TheSkyX for the wide-field refractor work, and Firecapture for lunar, planetary, and solar (the 183 takes both video and long exposures).

Take care, and Happy Christmas.
