Problem with Narrowband Normalisation in 1.9.2

I'm having an issue where Narrowband Normalisation is giving me just a cyan image. See screenshot attached showing the image, the preview and the processing history. This is OSC data with a DNB filter (533MC Pro & L-enhance) in Pixinsight 1.9.2. Has anyone experienced this before?

I experienced the same problem a couple a weeks ago, except the color was yellow.
I do not know if it is the same issue but, I pushed the reset button down in the right hand corner.
Worked fine since

From this screen shot It looks like your image is linear and is using ScreenTransferFunction. I'm pretty sure NarrowbandNormalization is meant for stretched non-linear images. I have not used it on linear photos so don't know if that would be the result, but that would be the first thing to try.

Edit: I stand corrected (or at least a tiny bit more experienced). Just tested an unmodified linear image and it worked just fine. Never mind.

Try linking the channels in your STF. NB normalization only displays appropriately with linked channels.

Yes, reset settings of this process,
cross on the bottom right of the process window.
If you have saved a process icon, you need to create a new one

Craig,

I see in your workflow that you ran SPCC prior to Narrowband Normalization.
SPCC will mess up the colors when using a NB filter.
Bill Blanshan recommends that you run Background Neutralization and an Unlinked Stretch prior to NBN.
NBN normalizes the OIII and SII data using Ha as a reference. If you run SPCC and use a linked stretch it prevents NBN from doing its job. It’s a common issue and I have seen several YT videos where they are demonstrating the wrong workflow for this process.

Hope this helps. I have been a beta tester for Bill’s earlier scripts and have used NBN since it was released as a PI process.

Agree. I experienced the same, but with a black screen. Resetting the tool helped in my case.

I have to reset the tool every time I use it since the update. Otherwise it behaves the same as before.

I had to make a new process icon with it reset and saved. Weird bug but not permanent

Many thanks everyone, resetting the process solved the problem so that's great.

Thanks for the tip, I'll go back and remove SPCC from the process.
