Arp 273 is a system of interacting galaxies located approximately 300 million light-years away in the constellation Andromeda. It was cataloged by Halton Arp in his Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies in 1966.

The larger member, UGC 1810, is a massive spiral galaxy viewed nearly face-on. Its outer disk is notably distorted into a pronounced ring-like arc — a tidal feature produced by the gravitational influence of the smaller companion, UGC 1813, a barred spiral located just below. The pair spans roughly 100,000 light-years, comparable to the size of the Milky Way.

The field is rich in background galaxies , many several hundred million to over a billion light-years more distant.

Since I am imaging this galaxy with my TOA on a full frame sensor, the full field of view is also rich with interesting little galaxies and galactic groups. I strongly encourage you look at the full field of view on Revision D.

At the edge of the field I was rewarded with another Galaxy designated UGC 1886. This galaxy has a grand total of one image on Astrobin to my surprise. I might dedicate a separate post to that galaxy since there are practically no deep images of this target that I could find, to help future imagers if they want to research this target. There was only one image of it from 12 years ago that I could find on Astrobin.
