Hi guys! I’m just looking to improve my setup I currently own a Baader mpcc iii which works to a certain extent but its not really good enough to satisfy me. It doesnt seem to work at the distance mentioned in the manual so i ended up using extension rings to add a few millimetres in order to get it to work and then i get astigmatism in the corners. I’m using a Skywatcher 150/750 pds. Any suggestions for a good coma corrector?

TS GPU (also sold under other brand names as well, such ASKAR and SW). Look no further.

Happy with my Televue Paracorr VIP 2010.

TS GPU, I used a Baader MPCC before and my stars have become better (from 2.5 HFR with the Baader to 1.90 now with the TS GPU). It also sits better in the focuser drawtube. It’s quite bulky though.

Paracorr or the Nexus.   Nothing else really comes close.      The Nexus however, will expose any and every flaw in your collimation and tilt… It's amazing to image at F/3 but you've been warned if you go down this route lol.

I’ve use my parracor in the past with excellent results but it add’s an extra 15% magnification and extra back focus that I didn’t like, that said it did a great job though. I’ve moved to the Sky Watcher CC with excellent results using my 294 and 071mc pro’s. I don’t know how it would work on a larger or full size sensor, but for me its the best move I’ve made for my setup.

It would work just as well. I've tried with both APS-C and FF and, apart from significant vignetting w/ FF, it does a pretty good job, tilt aside. Sadly, I can't find the darn files...

Good to know Andrea! I know I’ve been happy with it with my camera’s.

The TS Maxfield 0.95X is fine at f/5,  better than the MPCC. Compared to the GPU it is less expensive, vignettes a bit less but  doesn't work as well as the GPU at f/4.  The stop ring can be removed, uncovering extra M48 threads allowing a fully threaded imaging train (if the focuser enables it)

I'm very happy with my SharpStar CC Performance. My OTA is a astrograph by FótonAstro (Brazilian Brand). Before I used the Sky Watcher Coma Corrector for F4 optics. I also had the MPCC Baader. But for me, the SharpStar It was the best!!!

Sharpstar 0.95x is great.

I guess that the TS Maxfield is just a rebranded version of this one?

I suppose yes, it looks exactly the same.

I just realized that Sharpstar sells actually both a version of the 1x GPU corrector and of the 0.95X Maxfield corrector

How do you connect your corrector to the camera?

I have Baader MPCC III, similar scope, and I connect it to a full frame mirrorless Canon camera through an M48 adapter.  I had to remove the stop ring from it. My working distance is around a few mm different from what it should be (53mm or so vs 55mm). There is a slight vignetting but no distortions in corners
