Greetings everyone,
Here is one question for those of you who own a robofocus focuser with the supplied motor controller. Unfortunately, the ASCOM driver is outdated and has not been updated in years. It is a 32 bit only driver and there are almost no Windows apps that still run on 32 bits. Needless to say, NINA is currently 64 bit only and the latest 32 bit versions has been deprecated quite a while back.
I run Robofocus with the Ascom focuser hub and the Robofocus driver from there. Everytime I want to start an imaging session, I need to unplug and plug back the Robofocus USB cable. If for whatever reason I need to restart NINA, I have to go back outside to the imaging rig and repeat the unplug/plugging process.
It works but not exactly in the smoothest way.
Has anyone tried a different device to control the Robofocus motor? I am looking at alternatives such as the Pegasus Ultimate Powebox, Lunatico Seletek or similar devices. It would be great to hear from you guys and see if that would solve the problem.
Has anyone figured out any other solution?
Thanks in advance for your advice
Guy
