Hello from the biggest red area on the light pollution map  smile .

The universe is never ending and that's what I love about it. Recently I've been busy by getting to know astrophotography, because I like to photograph a lot also. Tomorrow my Star Adventurer will finally be delivered after a month of waiting  smile . I hope to get some awesome results with my Canon 6D Mark 2 and 100-400 telephoto lens. I'm afraid I will be spending a lot of money in the upcoming months/years on gear…  Everything for the best results, right? smile

Sincerly,
Davy

Welcome to astrobin!
I'm having a lot of fun with my 6D and 135mm lens! I can be fun to  try to squeeze out the most from modest gear! And frustrating at time smile

Hello, from can ada
In polluted area, shoot with H-a, O-III and Si-II and your results are a little better. Try it!
Have a look at my images,  no that they are good, but an improvement over what they were.

clear skies to you.

Welkom! It's definitely a money pit hobby, but if you start out buying one piece at a time, it's manageable. Just try to avoid adding up the cost of all your gear a few years from now. ;D

Hallo Davy,

Succes!
gr Douwe

Welcome to this beautiful hobby.  I’ve been shooting M31 yesterday. That would be a good target for you to start with. Also the Pleiades. Take it step by step to keep this hobby enjoyable.
Good luck!

Welcome - (again from Canada)…

Your description of equipment that you have is a  parallel of my own experience.  I would say its a veery solid way to get started.  All the best, welcome to Astrobin!  Its a great place for advice.

There should be dark sites all over Europe, the EU must add this to its long ToDo list 😀
Anyway, great to have you on board. Wide field images are a preference of mine.
Cheers from Okinawa, Japan
