I was wondering if the ASIair Plus is compatible with the Sony a7II mirrorless camera. I am hoping to use it to automate my imaging process and start to auto guide my setup. Any help is appreciated.

Yes, it is, and to great effect. Infact it gives better readouts with the ASIair writing to FITS. Have fun!

All A7's, and all other modern Sony Cameras are technically fully supported, as the internal-external control firmware is the same across almost all camera models. It should be fine. Plus ZWO's "Tested" sheet only describes the cameras that ZWO themselves have tested, not users. I've seen 5 A7II users on ASIair, and they've all said it's great.

Hi John, I'm not using the Edge HD 8's .7 Reducer, it reduces quality of picture at the cost of a smaller field of view. Definitely a waste of money in my book. For my A7III, I'm using the Baader Sony E mount M42 T-Adapter, using the Edge 8's T-Adapter, ZWO OAG, ZWO M42 Filter Drawer, and some M42 spacing rings. I'd like to go up to M48 so I can use the entire field of view the baffletube affords, while not having an encroaching OAG, but the Edge 8's main T-adapter does some overlapping of the wider opening- unfortunately. But that won't happen since I'm going off to the Navy in a week

Yes it is compatible. I have an A2 that i have tested successfully with the ASIAIR.

I’m trying with asiair and sony A7II but I have a problem. When I using, for example, Live, it doesn’t stop properly when I trying to stop it. Not only this, when it finished the app freeze/crash Any idea? I try with different wires A7II/ Asiair
