Hello all,
I am seeking some advice… perhaps this is well-travelled ground, but I am interested to see what experience those have on this board.
After one year of imaging with my unmodded Canon 60D, I am ready to modify it. I like this camera, it oversamples with my rig.
Its time to see if I can squeeze more out of it. I like to image wide field views of nebula with this such as the goodies in cygnus, southern messiers, and star fields.
The question becomes:
Should I seek a full spectrum modification with selective external filters, or perhaps simply replace of the stock unit with a less agressive IR/UV blocking filter?
Also if you have any vendors you like, please let me know. I'm located in Canada FWIW.
Thanks,
Ian
