What was the shortest-lived piece of electronics you ever had?

In my case a QHY5III462C. In my reckoning it didn't last more than 6 hours (!!!) which is by far the worst performance I can recall of anything electronic/electrical I have ever possessed. Now I must also wait for their support to get back to me before the ball gets rolling…

Ouch!

if we’re not limiting it to astro… when I was young I bought a 1000w amp for the sub box I built in my car. I had already “wired” for it. Without fuses. Backwards. It lasted about 5 minutes after I bought it.

I used to be into RC Helis and once smoked a Chinese speed controller before the Heli even got up to rpm. About 3-6 seconds. Apparently it wasn’t actually rated for 22v.
