The technique adds a lot of color variation to your NB images (using Photoshop).

There is a video linked from that page you can watch to learn the technique.

This was my first (published) attempt and with super nice data from Chile. I'm less happy with data from home but I don't have strong "signal" in all three filters and I suspect that is a requirement. Learning, experimenting...

I watched the video, and it seems the technique is a variation on CLAHE  (or, in PixInsight LHE). Functionally is it the same thing?

Well without reading the paper I would say it’s local color balance, vs. local contrast enhancement.

I did use a local contrast enhancement photoshop action at one point, by that’s not what makes this image processing different from what I have done in the past.
