When processing my DSO photos, sometimes I get great results after star removal (I am using starnet2) and sometimes it is just terrible.
For example, M42 (6h total integration, bortle 3) looks pretty good
But Heart nebula (7h total integration bortle 4) and Soul Nebula (4h bortle 4) looks not so great
All photos used the same equipment:
Redcat 51
Filter Optlong UV-IR
camera ZWO ASI 294MC
Could you please try to explain me why this happens? I really have no idea.
