After mucking about some 30+ years ago with my father's 8 inch Meade SCT and just dabbling in a bit of visual astronomy, I decided I'd wanted to get back into the hobby, this time having a go at astrophotography. I was totally amazed by the images people were getting from just their backyards. So 18 months ago, I bought a 10" Meade SCT and then 12 months ago my first colour cooled camera. I would have to say that I am now addicted to this hobby . I have also been impressed by how willing people are to share their experience and knowledge with us new to the hobby ( hopefully I will gain enough knowledge to do the same one day ).
