Hi,
I started astronomy about five years ago, borrowing a 6 inch reflector and spent two years gazing at the wonders that are out there. I then started on astrophotography, and graduated to a 200mm newtonian and a canon SLR.
About 18 months ago, I met Peter Jenkins, who is on astrobin. His images amazed me and stated my quest to get in to narrowband astronomy. I bought a Williams Optics GT81, ZWO filter wheel and filters, a ZWO ASI 183 Pro cooled mono canera and an HEQ5 mount.
Since then I have been imaging, generally from my backyard in Derbyshire, and trying to improve my software handling skills, initially starting with Photoshop and recently have bought PixInsight.
I'm a member of Chesterfield Astronomical Society and regularly post on the East Midland Stargazer site… www.eastmidlandsstargazers.org.uk
Look forward to being a member of Astrobin
