Hello !

I'm a high school physics teacher, but I've been doing serious photography for many years.  Only in the last few months did I take the plunge and buy an astrophotography telescope and mount.  My guide-camera has been back-ordered since May, but once that arrives I hope to really be able to dive in and learn even more from this community as I go.

Clear Skies,
Jeff

Hi  Jeff, welcome aboard.   Your landscape art is amazing and I'm looking forward to what you can accomplish in astrophotography.  I don't know what your telescope and mount are, but you might be pleasantly surprised at what you can do without an autoguider.  I don't have  your photography talent but I am amazed at some of the images I have captured with my limited equipment and  I'm still waiting on my guider as well.

Clear skies,
Jim

Thanks so much, Jim!  Much appreciated!  I'm using the Sky-Watcher 150P-DS and HEQ5 Pro.  Looks like you've done some great unguided astro-work, yourself!   What guider are you waiting on?

Awesome... that's not far at all!  I ordered a ZWO ASI 120 back in early May.  The latest order from ZWO has apparently been stuck in customs for a bit.

Hi  Jeff,
I'm waiting on a ZWO ASI 120 camera and the ZWO 60mm guide scope.  I'm still waiting to hear about those.

I see that the ZWO ASI120 is out of stock almost everywhere (and are not expected back in stock until the end of July?), but Agena Astro has them in stock. As for the guide scope, Walmart (of all places) actually has a couple in stock under the "Anself" brand, but it's the same scope. You could also go for the Apertura one from High Point - that's not the same, but I'm sure you'd be happy with it.
