Hello everyone.  I am from northern Illinois and I have been enjoying astrophotography for a few years now.  My work is very much at the armature level, a lot of my equipment is DIY and northern Illinois is not known for its clear dark sky's.  So I have a lot of challenges to overcome but I enjoy the challenges and I look forward to being part of the community.

Hi Richard! I can imagine if you're anywhere near the Chicago area how hard it is to get dark skies. Then this summer especially we've been dealing with so much smoke. Welcome to Astrobin!
