Hi all,

Is maybe not so artistic but was interesting project:

Solstice Night

I buy old Canon 495 Power Shot, 512MB flash card and two AA kind battery for 3€. Load CHDK on card, learn a bit of scripting in uBasic, cut up fly lure box to protect. Test for a few days. Off we go to fjord, climb up electrical pole and tape on with duct tape kind, start and voilà it worked.

Pretty fun inexpensive project!I

Hi Mike,

Nature is the artist I think, was serendipitous conditions! I had tried about 10 times previous with indifferent results.

That is a very clever use of inexpensive materials and a wonderful design, Sigga, affording us all a unique view of this remarkable phenomenon. As I see it, this type of experimentation and new way so showing the world is at the heart of art. Thank you for sharing (and for all of the hard work to make these images).
