I am wondering how the road is up to the top.  I hey Mike, can you check it out?

Hi John, I usually check the Kern County road closures during major storm events. That said, Cuddy Valley Road is not listed at all right now. It usually would be listed regardless of it's status, so I don't know what's going on there. Hope this helps!

Last summer I was up there for a bit of a thunderstorm and rain.  Lots of rocks on the road on the way down.  With 6+" of rain its got to be a mess.

I’m thinking about going up tonight (Mon 8/21). Weather looks clear and I need a little more data to finish this mosaic. I will be sure to report back on the road conditions.

Nevermind, weather has taken a turn. Looks like party cloudy with a mean looking dew point all night.

Just finished a Mt Pinos hike this afternoon. The road and parking lot is in excellent shape.
