Hi all, few days ago I bought this small APO scope. The offical page of Askar says that it has buil-in 2' filter thread. I would like to ask where can I screw the filter on this scope? For example Optolong L-Pro or Optolong L-Enhanced. I screewed out the last part but I was not to able screw on the filters. Thank you for your help.

Hi Martin,
You can screw the 2" Filter in the front.

Hi Werner, thank you. I have tried it, but both Askar and filter have same diameter. I am not able to insert the filter into Askar.

Hi,

The front of FMA180 PRO is M56 and the front of FMA 180 (not PRO) is M48.
So you can only screw your 2'' filter in front of the NOT PRO version (same problem with the dedicated bahtinov in M48).

Your filter must be screw in the rear with the PRO version.

Martin,  for FMA180 Pro, 2"filter goes inside of the front of the lens before connect to camera. Like pic in attachment.

@my123va  Yes, I've found out that I can screw out that M48 adapter. WhenI did it there was a space to put the filter insde but without any option to screw on, it's free inside. I don't think it's safe to let the filter between the M48 adapter and that ring. I've tried 3 filters (Optolong L-Pro, Optolong L-Enhanced and ZWO IR/UV cut, all are 2").

@my123va  You are right. There is an option to screw on the filter inside M48 adapter. I did not see that option insde.

Glad you found it. Enjoy.

This is the "classic" FMA180 but it will likely work with the "Pro" as well.  I added a ZWO filter drawer at the back.
