Hi All,

Finally took the plunge to put my images in a place where people can see them, as I want to see others images to see if I am on the right track. Been banging my head for a couple of years now and it seems like the wrinkles are getting ironed out with the help of lockdown, furloughing, and the amazing spring weather in the UK this year. I have an overweight 200PD-S on an HEQ5 Pro, as like many I started out with the idea of visual astronomy and then turned to the dark side. I work outside from March to October, often away from home over the weekends so taking my kit with me seemed like a good idea (building a fast very portable rig at the moment - (anyone got a Samyang 135mm Canon fit they want to sell?). In reality now I have things pretty slick then I can be up and imaging at home very quickly and work around my young family, and with automation it needs minimum tending. My location is Bortle 8 so I wont be doing any 600 second broadband exposures any time soon, I just do a lot of 60-120 sec subs instead. I plan to move to mono imaging when my processing skills have got on top of the DSLR data I currently take, probably not before the winter, and upgrade my mount too.
Outside of hanging around in the dark I am a climber and diver and seemed to get around the world a fair amount before it all stopped.
Looking forward to seeing your images and improving mine.
Dark skies.
