Hey all! I tried about a year ago to get into astrophotography. Unfortunately I got a dud of a scope and was really disappointed with the results. But this year I figured out some issues, got a new scope and mount, and have really been diving into this amazing hobby. All the photos on here are so amazing and inspiring. I continue to learn so much from this site and all the other great forums. I have to say the astro community is super impressive in their knowledge of a variety of subjects. Just so cool. I am primarily interested in deep space objects, but enjoy looking at images of any and everything!

Thanks!
Jeff

Welcome Jeff to AstroBin. We look forward to your images. I live in Virginia but a good 6 hours drive from you. I hope for your sake and mine that we get some clear skies soon but maybe not until fall or winter.

Whatever comes, keep those images coming and Clear Skies!

Van

Thanks! The light pollution around Bburg isn't too bad. But also I'm super lucky to live pretty close to some darker skies in West Virginia!

Hi Jeff - I'm practically next door to you in Roanoke.  I do a lot of imaging from the backyard, but occasionally I get up on the Blue Ridge Parkway for darker skies.
