File sizes - master files after WBPP. Why the big difference?

When I perform a WBPP I typically get following files:

Why is the masterlight before cropping 917 MB and after cropping "only" 400 MB?
Could anyone explain this to me, please?

The uncropped file probably contains the rejection images as well as the integration. Just my guess.

Wim is correct. The cropped file only contains the cropped image and an image of the frame for cropping

I think you are right about that (the rejection files are real picture files, not just rejection info).
