Auto guide setup for Orion ED80mm

Hello everyone,
I have an Advanced VX that I’m using with an Orion ED80 and Celestron Stransense camera for quick alignment.
I taking good pictures so far, however since my mount is old, I think I might be needing an auto guider. i looked at the Orion 50mm since it’s small, but Im not sure if that compromises the performance.
does the size of the guide scope matter ? For the camera I think I’m set on the ZWO ASI290mm mini.

Also, given my main imaging telescope is small and I already have the starsense camera on the back end where the regular finder scope used to be, any suggestions on where/how to mount a guide scope ?

I have the Orion ED80 and use a 50mm guide scope with an ASI224MC and it works great. Had the 224 for planetary work and instead of buying another guide cam, decided to give it a try and have had no problems. In terms of mounting, I have another dovetail bar mounted on top of my tube rings that I attach the guide scope to. This leaves the finder scope spot on the scope free to use with the finder scope.
