I've been currently using a very old Canon Rebel 1000D, have gotten through some of the learning curves of this passion and am blown away by what I have captured,  but  I know my camera is holding me back.  I have a William Optics 102GT, (focal length 703) and a CGEM II mount.   I can just afford the AIS2600MC Pro ($2k usd) and know this would be one hell of an upgrade.  But should I bust the bank, piss my wife off, and go for the 6200 which is twice the price?  I hope to also get an 8" or 9.25" HD Edge some day.

If you plan to get an 8 o 9.25 HD get the 2600 …   6200 full frame will reach the limit of the plane field into the HD edge …

that is great technical information (and over my head right now on this journey but I just looked up what you mention and now I understand).  you helped me make my decision for the 2600…and my wife will be happy!  ZWO will be shipping in May.  thanks again.  john

I wanna get the ASI2600 then get a Takahashi TOA-35 0.7x Focal Reducer for my TSA-120FT that will be just over 3000 Euro and will bring my TSA-120FT from F7.5 to F5.3 and will have the FOV of the ASI6200 anyway.

Theirs a fews things i want to know about the ASI2600 what other option resolutions have you got.
