A couple of weeks ago I posted about what setups you've found most reliable. I've replaced trying to go from a Mac in the house to a PC in the observatory. I purchased two Quieter 3Qs, one in the house and one in the observatory. Connection with the Observatory is quick and smooth and I've got everything running well in N.I.N.A.
Two Questions:
1. My mount is an SB MtY. I start TSX first and select a target before switching over to N.I.N.A.. TSX wants me to home the telescope so that it knows where it is. In N.I.N.A. there's a button to do the same. Which one should I be using and are they the same?
2. Parking the scope is also a problem. TSX has a park position but in N.I.N.A. the scope doesn't respond to the park command. Should I be setting up the park position in ASCOM? TSX?
Aside from these two problems things are looking up. (No pun intended). Thanks again to those of you who pointed me down this path.
