Hello,

Actually, I should figure it by running tests myself but we are outclouded since weeks.

Scenario:
DSO imaging with a DSLR
Autoguiding with PHD2
No DSLR control software used

Question:
Would it be wise to disengage dithering in PHD2?

Reason:
As PHD2 is not connected with the DSLR, it can't know when an exposure is complete. Dithering during an exposure does not make any sense.

Thanks a lot!

It is indifferent, PHD is not capable of dither by itself, it needs software that orders it to do it.

Thanks a lot, Jesus,
...meaning that even when Dithering is enabled in PHD2 it won't dither?
Cheers

If you are using PHD to autoguide, why not just install APT and use that to control the DSLR and the dithering.

Makes sense. PHD2 needs to talk to a camera controller. I doubt my old mount is compatible with APT, but will check it out.
Thanks,

Hi Vittorio,
SGP is for professionals only :-)
Wow, I wasn't aware DigicamControl communicates with PHD2. And no need for a cable with WiFi connection.
Bingo! Thank you so much!!!
