Clear Sky Alerts?

Hi,

What is everyone using to get alerts/know the clear skies? I found the iCSC app which is great —but have you found anything that will send you alerts if clear skies are coming soon?

Any other useful tools would be helpful too!

I do use the cleardarksky.com website and pick a close location. No alerts though! Just constantly watching the weather channel and this website. Nothing is 100% though, my scope got heavily rained on one night despite a 0% chance of rain. Well … that IS Florida, showers can pop up in seconds. Took me 4 weeks to get my scope and camera back in shape, or was it even 6 weeks? Horrible time it was!!

Ouch!

Cleardarksky.com seems just about the same as the iCSC app.

What about a cloudy sky alert? The larger number of cases and higher accuracy would justify the setting up of automated emails :-)
Like in Florida, we can have a skol right out of a clear sky a minute ago. Have cover sheets ready. You can can tell (weather).

I'm in the UK, I use several weather websites, and if two say the same I find that normally is fairly reliable.
I use:
BBC Weather
Yr.No (Norwegian site that seems very good)
Clear Outside (probably UK based)

No help to anyone not in the UK, but no alerts, just have to keep an eye on them.

Sat24 is very good for seeing what is heading your way.

I do have a rain App on my phone which is pretty good and alerts me to rain within 25 miles of my location.

Looked at it and it looks very nice. Will find out in time how accurate it is!
