Would it be a good idea to use an L-Eenhance for the lyrid meteor shower, from bortle 8?

Just like it sounds in the title. I live in a bortle 8 zone, and in a few days there will be the peak of the meteor shower of lyrid. I know that it is not one of the most powerful rains, and according to photopills, I will see a maximum of 9 stars per hour. In the same way I lose nothing trying. On previous occasions I got at least 2-6 traces throughout the night. So my question is, if using an l-enhance, thanks to the fact that it eliminates light pollution, will it allow me to see more shooting stars, or will it be exactly the same. I'm sorry if my English is not the best. Thanks and CS

I do not believe the l-enhance would be of much help. L-enhance isolates light wavelengths associated with hydrogen and oxygen. This is great for emission nebula which are mainly hydrogen. But meteors do not emit light specifically at these wavelengths. So the filter will not do a good job of isolating them or highlighting them. Hope this helps!

In that case, a light pollution filter, such as optolong L pro, will be a better choice.
