Dear Star friends,

my name is Henning Schmidt and I'm member of astrobin since 1 month.
I live near the town Rostock in Germany and own a little observatory in the garden. The Baltic Sea is 800 m away from my  home.
I'm Chairman of the nonprofit organization "Astronomischer Verein Rostock e.V." and Leader of an astronomy working group for kids (AG Astronomie).
More informations about the AG Astronomie (and my astro-pictures) do you find on my Homepage: www.ag-astronomie.de (only in german).

On astrobin do you find my pictures here:

https://www.astrobin.com/users/HenningSchmidt/

There is something for everyone: Nebula, Galaxies, animations, Meteor impact, the Garden of Planets in Rostock and more. Have a look …

Clear skies for all

Hallo Henning,
So good to have you with us.
Your work and engagements, especially with future astronomers (perhaps one of them will fly to Mars), are looking impressive. I wasn't aware that there is quite a number of observatories in MV. Very positive outlook.
Cheers
Robert

Ps: Zu meiner Zeit in DE hiess die Baltic Sea Ostsee  smile

Hallo Robert,

Thank you for your comment.
Yes in german we say Ostsee.   smile
In MV is Astronomy a school subject.
We are very happy about it.
I hope I  can get enthusiastic many kids about Astronomy.

Kind regards and
