if you want to shoot let's say galaxys from Bortle 7-8 with mono camera and LRGB filters..
what about installing L-pro filter between the filter wheel and scope.. so you can use LRGB filters without too much light polusion?
what you think? possible?…. it will work well?..

It will work to the extent of the LP suppression afforded by the filter in question. Those using OSC cameras do it all the times… Obviously the L filter is pointless since the UV/IR cut function is already performed by the LP filter ahead but you might want to retain it for sake of parafocality with the other filters (and not messing up with the filter wheel).

I'm using a 2'' IDAS P3 inside mine flattener/reducer and i do not remove it, ever. For L, R, G, B H O S.
At the beginning of "mono" experience i used IDAS P2 (36 mm) only for luminance but too much ofter mine RGB was too bad because the gradients. With the IDAS P3 ever mounted i fixed all my problems.
But i shot from a balcony when object are low in the sky. When i go under clear sky i do not use the IDAS P3 of course.
IDAS P3 is very similar to the Optolong LPro.

I want to see some results from that.

Any halo?

U can check in my profile.
Some halo of course, but expecially with the FRA500 i've halos without IDAS P3 too.
I personally gave up solving the halo problem because otherwise I would have stopped doing astrophotography.

I used my Lpro as the luminance channel with fantastic results. I was using a zwo 1600 mm pro at the time..
