Cleaning Inside of Celestron Edge 8 Corrector Plate

At some point I am going to want to clean the corrector plate on both sides.   Does anyone have experience removing this plate on the Edge 8, cleaning it and placing it back correctly?

I would rather learn how to do this than send the telescope back to Celestron and wait weeks to get it back.

I've watched some videos on You Tube, but none give me any confidence that the people making the videos know what they are doing.

Thanks!

I did it on my Edge14 so it should be similar.
Remove the retaining ring.
Remove the secondary.  It is keyed so no problems with re-assembly.
Place a small piece of tape on the edge of the corrector plate and the corresponding inside of the scope for alignment when re-assembling.
There should be set screws around outside of the scope that hold the corrector in.  Loosen.  The corrector should come right out.
Check this website:  http://arksky.org/aso-guides/aso-general-guides/23-aso-fine-optics-cleaning-system for the best cleaning solution ever.

Thanks Jeffrey.  But I do have one question:  Why remove the secondary when the corrector plate (with secondary) comes off in one piece?  Wouldn't it be better to use the secondary as a grip to hold the corrector plate while removing and replacing?

The secondary mirror requires different cleaning methods since it is a first surface mirror.  Its best to clean each piece separately.
