Hello - anyone using Russel Cromas XTerminator modules to prepare RGB stars before importing to an starless HSO image? What workflow? What results? Thanks very much

Yes, and also StarNet v2 when it does a better job (depends on the data).
My process is to unscreen then rescreen after some processing of stars (color, saturation, reduce, etc).

I use StarXTerminator pretty much exclusivly. I’ve used both starnet v2 and found for my data at least I have better results with it. Here is an example if your interested. https://www.astrobin.com/ejng9o/

Read down in the comments about my processing of the my star layer. This is how I process my star layer.

Here is another one as well. https://www.astrobin.com/full/4orxln/B/

I describe my workflow in detail in a comment reply on this image: https://www.astrobin.com/r6zmqj/F/

That was my first and only image processed with StarXterminator thus far, but it will definitely be my default workflow moving forward.
