Hi all. I have the stc duo narrowband filter and I am relatively happy with it. Wife wants to give me a gift and I was thinking of asking for the l enhance filter. Is it worth it? It is triple pass instead of duo I think and gives less halo around stars? Any advice welcome. I shoot ln bortle 2 skies

Waste of money in Bortle 2, if you ask me. Go fo the L-Extreme with focal ratios greater or equal to f/4 instead. Worth having to allow shooting with Full Moon.

Thanks for the advice. I shoot usually at f2.8 with a samyang 135. Any other filters you would advise ? I mainly shoot nebulas 👍

You could put it in front of the lens, with the right adapter. That would sort out any bandshift issue and also most of the halos as well. There are other 2-bands adpated to fast optics but I do not use them.

The IDAS NBZ is a bit wider than the L-Extreme but not an issue under your skies, the advantage is less halo from what I have seen here and it is more tolerant of high speed systems like your f/2.8. Some people have reported issues with the L-Extreme below f/4 but it seems to be variable.
