I updated to Ventura last night and APP would not load so I went looked a bit and updated to the latest APP 2.0 and Apple
says it will not open because it cant verify malicious software?
Astropixel is difficult to contact so what do I do? Anyone with same issue?

Hallo,

maybe that helps:

1) In the Finder on your Mac, look for the app you want to open.
Don't use the launchpad to do this. You cannot access the context menu from the launchpad.
2) Control-click the app's icon, then choose „Open“ from the shortcut menu.
3)  Click on "Open".
The app will be saved as an exception to your security settings, so you can double-click it like a registered app in the future.

Thanks Markus, It will still not work… I am pissed off at Apple and APP. This is ridiculous.

When I have this sort of issues with downloaded software I usually deal with it in system preferences under Security & Privacy

Thanks Andrea,,I did, I clicked to allow it but it still will not load. I guess I will learn to stack in Pixinsight… very frustrating…

APP has a forum. I believe there you can get the attention from the authors quickly.  It's hard to imagine that APP does not work under Ventura, especially after the launch of Ventura for relatively long time.

I had to re purchase the software to get the latest version that will work with Ventura.
A ripoff from APP.  Buyer beware, a nice product that I need but a crappy product to purchase.
My license from last year did not allow me to get the last download that works with the latest Apple OS.
I hope the owner of APP sees this, I had no luck on their forum.

I sometimes use APP for quick stack and blending mosaic (which IMO it is great!).  I don't know if it was the only processing software you have.  Isn't it better to stay with the previous version, or try another software ? I sometimes think that some updates are 'bug-injected' not 'bug-fixes'.

APP owner Mabula has contacted me and has offered me a refund and apologized for the confusion about his product.
It does work with Ventura with the latest update which is being sent out to all users.

Framing issues with latest ASIAIR plus update?
So when it comes to framing in skyatlas (or also plate solving an image in the storage to align to that), it seems that the asiair only knows its orientation on the first actual preview image and then when refreshing to see how far you need to rotate...
