It's easily done. Assuming youre using the mono for luminance, just register the 2 stacks together and then you can layer the mono data on top of the color.
There should be no issue. People have even combined OSC data with mono using cameras with different pixel sizes - for example a 2600mc pro at 3.76 microns and a 294MM at 4.6 microns binned 2x2. This approach actually combines the strengths of both types of cameras and yields very good results. See this example:
