Hello friends.

I have created a share here:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9sn3mwrih55le6k/AACqQ8s-jU6b9g0wHgXzwghVa?dl=0

In this I plan to share master files of the data I produce here on Astrobin. The reason for this, is that I want to aid the public in having data to explore this wonderful hobby. Some people cannot afford telescopes or cameras, or any of this business we love so much, yet they want to learn, grow, and I wholly support that. The universe is open to all of us as a treasure, and so my data is equally open to you all.

This will be populated with data I find good to share moving forward. Past data some folks may have used in my other life on CN, will not be shared here. I have turned that page, moved on, and would like the data I share to reflect that change. Please respect my decision here.

To kick this off, I have included the master files for my Heart + HB3 image, and my IC1396 Widefield images. I hope you all enjoy the data, and please if you post your own creations here on Abin -- give me credit for acquisition. <3 Also please share them here as well! I would love to see what others can do with this data.

Clear Skies,
Bill

That’s an incredible good idea, Bill. Happy to contribute to this journey too. I will check my data and start sharing whenever possible. Just need to bring some order to my “disorder” 😂

Great initiative, thank you.

Could you upload a small .txt file for each dataset, with the capture details (setup, integration time, etc…)?

Good idea. I'll link to my own Astrobin entry in a txt file.

Thank you this is great.  I need to work on my processing and my acquisition skills are not that great, so having  clean data to work with is nicer to practice with.

What a a great idea, just hope that users dont take the credit for the dataset and hope they credit you with this. Id like to think everyone would do that.

Well this is my go at it.  Some parts of this image I am comfortable with and others I am not so I'm not sure what to think. Nevertheless it was a lot of fun processing it and the data was super clean.  Any thoughts on how to improve this would be welcome.

Edit: I'm going to start all over on this one.

Thanks for sharing the data Bill.
