Does anyone know of a flipping flat panel for 10" scope? The largest I've been able to find is the 8" Alnitak panel. They have to exist somewhere.

Hmm...it looks like this product has been discontinued:  http://www.geminitelescope.com/snapcap-motorized-tube-ota-cap/

And, unless I'm missing something, it looks like this product is not a flip-flat:  https://en.rbfocus.net/

RB Focus sells an optional arm to make it flippable its also on the site. I emailed them and they do ship to the US so I'll be looking a little more deeply into it when I'm not at work.

It is John.....they have two options....buy the panel on it's own which they call "EXcalibur lite" or the actual eXcalibur which includes the panel and motor (& arms) for flipping it  back.

Ah, thank you…that's what I was missing.  That's a pretty heavy-duty looking flipping mechanism!

For anyone whos curious, I spoke with Reinaldo from RB Focus and he said the illuminated circle of the 270mm model is 250mm so he advised I get the 300mm just to be sure the entire field is covered. Lead time is 1 month, I'll be placing my order next week.

I'd be curious as to how bright these panels get and their red response.  I have an Optec FlipFlat, and its big weakness is that it's red response isn't very good, so you need longer exposures for red, and Ha and SII can be minutes long.  My understanding that most EL panels have this issue, though I've seen vendors claim to have better red response.  That RB Focus panel is at least 12v powered.  The Optec panel is powered exclusively by USB, so it's limited how much it can be cranked up.  Perhaps with enough juice, you can drive an EL panel bright enough to not have those really long exposures for narrow band filters.

Interesting thread, was not aware of RB Focus.
There's also DeepSkyDad, https://shop.deepskydad.com/product-category/flat-panels/, but they seem to have only flat panels for small refractors (and possibly on demand for larger apartures). Their panels are not EL panels but LED it seems.

I saw the DSD panel and actually plan to get one for my ED127. I'll report back on both panels once I have received and tested them.
