Does anyone know if the Celestron counterweights are compatible with the ZWO AM5 counterweight shaft.  I've heard good things about this new AM5 so if anyone has more feedback on this, please share your experiences.

The AM5 counterweight shaft is 20mm while it appears the Celestron counterweights have a 19mm bore hole, so they probably won't fit.  However, you don't need counterweights for the AM5 unless your setup is prone to tipping.

Thanks……..the rig I plan on using won't need the counterweight.   My C11 and Skywatcher Esprit 150 ED may need it, however; unless I can weight the tripod down some.   Just concerned about stressing the drives with the heavier equipment by not using the shaft and counterweight.  I appreciate your response.
