Took into consideration the criticism I received last time. I have replaced my Orion reducer with a TRF-2008 unfortunately I still have some coma I need to work with hopefully I’ll get the chance to do that this weekend. Anyways, I took this image and I’d love to hear some constructive criticism from the community!

I have also another version of this done starless using starnet++

Copy & paste info./feedback from your image section.

Feedback update done after a more thoroughly look at the image again in full resolution on my fixed PC screen, the additional comments are marked like this, "Update:"

In the forum part you ask for more feedback on your image, I'll try to do that😊
Overall:
Great image, framing & a huge effort used compared to my own images, congratulation 😊
Q: Are there saturated areas in the image?
Please how have you "tweeked" the colors?

Stars:
Good round quality stars also in the corners of the image. Star color like RGB are missing, should be possible to make them as RGB even with the Hubble palette filters; meaning to get them closer to RGB colors.
Update:
Not totally round stars.
Q: Please how have you processed the stars?

Background:
I use a mobile phone display could be the reason why it is a little dark for my taste.
Update:
Still a little dark, in two of the corners/dark areas, to my taste.

The object itself:
Great framing as said above but some areas appear without colors.

Noise level reduction compared to the signal:
Hard to say anything right now as I'm using my mobile phone display to look at, I may add more info. when I look at it from my fixed PC screen.
Update:
The noise level/reduction is too heavily processed to my taste. Please what SW tool have you used? Normally I use a mask where I try to do less noise reduction in the high S/N ratio areas compared to the low S/N areas where I try to use a more heavy noise reduction.

IMHO:
We have all different ways to look at and process astronomical objects, and I will argue that there as many personal "tastes" in this area as there are people😊
Update:
I have also added this info. to the forum part & I will not update this section further; but do it in the forum section, if needed :-)

Niels;

Thank you so much for the time you put in analyzing my image it's GREATLY appreciated! I'm aware of my stars profiles around the edges of the frame are horrible it's due to a mix of issues I'm having with the OTA and a Reducer. I'm currently working on taking care of this problem and hopefully I'll have that sorted this week.

Regarding Colors and Stars:  I used straight SHO in PixInsight than with Inverted image I color removed green, than did the same on the uninverted image. After the image stretch I did a star mask and used that with photometric calibration to get better colors for the stars. Once I did all the work in the image, I took it to photoshop where I tweaked colors saturation, hue, balance and selective colors (to taste).

Yes, you are right I kind of killed the dust cloud colors in the bottom left of the image, I will try reprocessing the image see if I can pull it back. I believe this happened during DBE. You are not the first one that told me about my heavy handed noise reduction and I agree, and I will attempt to re-do the image with a "slighter" touch. I've been obsessed with denoising for so long I think that is it's side effect!

The beauty of of this is we all have different taste and especially with fake colors we have a bit of artistic freedom in the work on our image. However, the basics are pretty much the same when we process our images and it helps getting the opinion of the more experienced.

My processing workflow is as follow generally:

1. DBE on each channel
2. Combine as SHO
3. MultiscaleMedianReduction (stars profile decrease)
4. Extract Luminous
5. Run Deconvolution process on L (using http://pixinsight.com/examples/M81M82/ as a baseline)  with the described Noise Reudction method with MLT, HDRMLT (if provides better look)
6. Stretch L and RGB and combine L to RGB.
7. LocalHistogram Transformation (if helpful)
7. Generate StarMask, use PhotoMetric Calibration to get better star colors
8. Use Starmask and/or L with Morphological Transoformation Erosion (adjusted to taste)
9. Generate new Starmask and use inverted/not to adjust Curves
10. Take image to PhotoShop, run Despeckle, Noise Reduction, Smart Sharpening (all adjusted to taste, used or not used)
11. Adjust Levels, Curves to taste
12. Adjust saturation again to taste
13. Hue/Saturation
14. Color Balance
15. Selective Colors
16. Camera Raw Filter adjustments (contrast, temperature, tint, clarity)
