Star Elongation following Meridian Flip

I recently replaced my Stellarvue 80mm with a Tak FSQ85 EDX on top of my C11" EdgeHD. All is working fine as before except for one thing. I am getting elongated stars on the first 5-minute frame following meridian flip. It then settles down for the rest of the imaging session. I ran through the usual suspects like cable snags, scope balance, etc. but can't find the cause. I am using an Optec ThirdLynx autofocuser and a 15s settle time after the flip just like before. This setup and setting have worked fine for over 2 years until now. I have not yet tested if the same thing would happen on the C11". Any ideas what would cause this?

I find that this sort of occurrence happens quite often when I'm flipping sides with a marginal mount (e.g., the GEM28). I have to wait a full worm cycle before things stabilize so I guess it is the PHD2 guiding parameters that needs changing. That assuming everything else is fine otherwise nothing short of a full recalibration would do.
