Ritchey Chretien mirror spacing adjustment

Hello everyone,
I've lost the optimal mirror distance of my TS RC 6" through a lot of adjusting.
I tried to find a solution on the Internet so that I could get it under control again.

With a Ronchi eyepiece and by calculating the focal length using Platesolving I tried it, but it was all too complicated and cumbersome for me…
Finally, I got the tip from Teleskop Express to focus the telescope with the original OAZ without extensions, taking into account the optimal back focus with the adjustment screws of the main mirror.

For the 6" I did it like this:
Telescope - OAZ - back focus from 159 mm to the camera sensor - adjust with a Chesire - Then focus with the adjusting screws of the primary mirror by turning all screws as evenly as possible.

First I did a rough adjustment during the day with an object at a great distance, then at night with a star and a Bahtinov mask. It's not quite perfect, but I was quite happy with the result (https://www.astrobin.com/full/cco1lx/C/).

Maybe this will help someone here… Best regards

Hi,  I want to try this method but I’m confused as to what “OAZ” means?
thanks

oh, sorry, that's „Okularauszug“ in German and is called „focuser“ in English. Good luck!
