Hi,

for the QHYCCD connoisseurs, do you know how many models of the QHY268 really are there?

I've seen it referred as:

- QHY268PH M/C
- QHY268 M/C
- QHY268 Pro M/C

I'd be grateful if someone could unravel this, before I ask QHYCCD directly

Hi Salvatore,

I've looked hear in the states at OPT, Anacortes, and on QHY's website. I think what you show is it for the 268, unless some new version is coming out not yet listed.

I think there is a Photographic (PH) and a Pro version of each (M/C); four total? I assume anything without designation would correspond to the photo version.

I thought the only thing different with the Pro versions are communication electronics. So maybe they could be interpreted as variants if you wanted?

I would like to know this as well. The “Pro” version is a lot more expensive.

As far as I know:
268C PH "normal" Colour Version
268M PH "normal" Mono Version
268C Ultra-short back focus
268C with fiber optics
268 Pro M Mono with fibre optics
268 Pro M Mono with fibre optics and liquid cooling

Maybe some additional special cameras? Not sure.

As you can imagine, fibre optics and liquid cooling is much more expensive.

Thanks. Looks like the BF is 7mm rather than 17.5. Baader recommends against using it unless needed for camera lenses because of condensation.
