I live in the woods on lake shore. I have fairly dark skies. To the Southwest is the small town of Ely, and to the north and east there is nothing. In that direction, the nearest light bulb is 76 miles away, in Canada. I love the sky at night. We have few clear nights, but when we do, they can be spectacular. I posted my first image on my seventieth birthday. I have many friends on the Astronomy Shed who have held my hand through this learning process. I have used AstroBin to find images to plate solve for some years, and decided that I should join and introduce myself. Hello, I'm Richard.
