Hello to you all,
My name is Taras, I'm from Lviv, Ukraine. Somewhere around 2012 I started my observations of comets. At that time I bought a good telescope and planned to start observations from my home roof. With time the state of my local sky got only worse and I decided to use mostly remote observatories.
Since 2012 my observations of comets counted over 1500 reports (both photometry and astrometry) and several discoveries. My primary target is not making a nice picture, but rather to catch something incredible and unusual and make some science out of it.
I see so many talented astrophotographers here, with amazing images posted. I'd never make something beautiful like this! This is really a center of astrophotography and I'm happy to be a part of it!

Welcome to Astrobin. There ara a lot of possibilities to combine nice astrophotography and more scientif data collection. If you are interested in photometry you might have a look at Johny's page  https://www.astrobin.com/users/sky-watcher/
which is a splendid example of combining very beautiful pictures with photometric measurements. Astrobin is not a competition, although some images  are put forward for their stunning aspect withe top picks section.
You have an outstanding collection of comet observations, really amazing, congratulations!

And thank you for the invitation and recommendations! It's quite interesting and Sky-watcher (johny)'s images are just excellent! Along with photometry made these are very much valuable! Let's don't forget that sky is not only a science, but also an art!

Dear Uploadfilter,
Peace and tranquility is what I need the most right now. I live in the Western Ukraine, far from the war, but even here we have everyday air alarms and missiles hit from time to time. You just can't get used to explosions and all destructions that could be seen right out of your window. I will get back to my observations as soon as this terrible invasion will be over. After Ukraine wins.

Thank you for your kind words! Some of my early images look weird now, but at that time I was just amazed even having few pixels of comet on a small pic. It was these emotions that I tried to express. My new images look better as I think, I try to use different techniques of processing and then see what I've got afterwards. Anyway, for me it's still a lot of job on a way up!
