Hello i’ve got a celestron c8 edge hd and an altair 102/710
for the Time i’m using a NikonD810A
this camera is very nice to use but pixels are very small…
i’ m considering to buy a ccd camera with bigger size pixel
Atik 11000 with 9 nm pixel or Atik 16200 with 6nm pixel size
the  qhy 128 c is a CMOS with 6nmpixel seems nice also

i will enjoy your advice about that

anyway it will be color camera and not mono camera
because i ve to move to take picture each night

thanks

If you are wanting a color camera I think CMOS is the way to go, so the QHY128c. 6μm pixels will be a good fit for the 8" and you really would not want anything bigger than that  on the altair unless you were imaging extremely dark objects.

C8 gives a corrected field only in size of APS-C.  I have also  tried 16200 but I did not like the result, vignetting is too big to be able to correct perfectly and stars are slightly elongated in the edges…. I decided to use smaller chips like Atik4000 with 7μm (however it is an older chip) or AtikOne6/ASI294 with binning if I want bigger pixel size.
