Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my ZWO focuser, it has been working fine for months and suddenly, it's not recognized by the computer anymore.
When I try to connect to it in N.I.N.A I get this message :

An ASCOM driver interop exception occurred. This is most likely caused by a mismatch between the driver being installed as x64 and NINA being x86. Please install the driver as x86.

If I try to find it on ASCOM Diagnotiscs it doesn't appear, same in ASI Studio.
When I connect it to the computer, sometimes it says something about a "ZWO Boot" device.

I've tried to connect it to my imaging laptop and to my home computer with no success, I've tried 4 different usb cables and two different 12v power supplies.
I've reinstalled the ZWO ASCOM driver for the EAF ... I don't know what to do next.

Has anyone encoutered the same problem ? Or has an idea of what I could try next ?

Just an idea:

You could try the ZWO EAF firmware update utility to see if it can a) see the device when you do a scan and b) you could try to update the firmware.  It's a bit of a last resort, but it sounds like you've tried quite a few other things.

Hello Andy

What do you mean by a scan ?
I thought of updating the firmware but right now I can't detect the focuser in any software, it just appears has "ZWO Boot" in windows

Thanks

When you launch the firmware updater there is a scan button that will try and find the EAF and tell you what firmware version you have installed before you do the update.  The fact that you mentioned ZWO Boot just made me think that it may somehow be in firmware update mode.  Please make sure you have no other ZWO devices connected to your computer when you are doing this though.

FWIW:  If you did actually do the firmware update, you may need to go through the re-setting zero point, max steps setup thing that is described in the user guide.  If it's working without doing that, then probably best to not dabble with those.

Ok, good to know, I will check those when I put it back on the telescope.
Thanks again !
