HEQ5 Pro with Rowan belt mod .. what guiding should I strive for?

I'm currently achieving an 0.62 RMS arc secs guiding on my mount using an OAG through my 200DPS Newt with the RA and DEC being pretty close to each other.  I just wondered if I should strive for anything better or if this is about as good as I can expect from this mount?

My guess is that what you described is probably as good as it can go. I have a similar setup, HEQ5 Pro with Rowan belt mod, but I put shorter refractors on it and I could get 0.4 RMS or less consistently with OK to good seeing. A 200DPS OTA plus camera, OAG, etc. is perhaps 12-13kg? My modified Quattro 200p with guide scope is 13kg+, which is very close to HEQ5 Pro's load capacity limit. And given that newts are harder to balance, I'd think around 0.6 RMS is already quite amazing.

Yeah that's pretty good for that setup on that mount. Don't worry about it.
