Hello Astrobin.  I'm Gary from Keller, TX.

I've been shooting Milky Way wide field shots with a DSLR for two or three years as well as some star trails, and time lapses.  Lately I've grown interested in capturing brighter deep sky objects and used the recent solar eclipse as an excuse to purchase an iOptron SkyGuider Pro.

My first target was M31 and while I have much to learn I'm excited about what I was able to capture on my first attempt.  I've posted to the staging area and will publish when out of moderation.

I'm looking forward to learning more about suitable targets for my gear and how to improve my technique.

Thank you @Van H. McComas, @Esko Tikkanen, and @Vittorio  for the warm welcome.  Hope to capture some new images tonight.  Hopefully some very wide field nightscape Milky Way shots as well as some more deep sky shots.  M31 again, perhaps, or M33 if I can find it.  smile

I also have some nightscape and timelapse captures I can share.

All the best and clear skies to all!

Gary
