hello everyone
i have the cpc 1100 gps xlt sct telescope of celestron on ALT-AZ mount and im considering to buy the wedge, but i dont know if it is really help, if it is good like regular equatorial mounts and if it is stable? the telescope will not shake and move? and all of the weight of this system, the telescope the wedge and all the accessories will not interfere to the tracking?

I've had every kind of equipment, including 3-4 different wedges for SCT's.  You make them work, but it is a constant battle.  Good wedges are very heavy duty and expensive for a scope your size.  To avoid frustration, why not save your money and buy a nice GEM for your scope? I think you'll be happier in the long run. Celeste on makes good GEMs or a reasonable price .  Then you will be better set up to do long exposure Astro-imaging.  Have fun, clear skies.
