Hi,

I am looking to buy a TS Photoline 130.
I am deciding between the 2.5" or the 3.7" focuser.

The telescope will only be used for Astrophotography.
My Camera is ASI294MM and I am estimating that my Camera + Filter wheel + Flattener would be no more than 4lbs.
Per the description on TS website 2.5" handles up to 10 pounds without tilt and this looks sufficient for my current set up.

I will not be using a camera larger than micro four thirds.

Should I consider still consider 3.7" or 2.5" focuser is good enough?

Thanks,
Deepan

If the 3.7" is in budget and you can easily adapt it to your camera and accessories I see no reason not to. That way if you every choose to go with a heavier image train in the future you can do so with more confidence in the focuser.

3.7" is overkill (and wasted money) for your setup. In fact even 2" would suffice, never mind 2.5".
